The Digital Sanctuary  ·  The Word

Just Open It.

Start with the Gospels. Start with the Psalms. Start with Genesis. The book does not care where you begin. God just wants you there with it, because His Word is not a reading exercise. It is oxygen.

You do not need a theology degree. You do not need to understand every verse. You just need to begin. The Word of God has a way of finding you exactly where you are and speaking exactly what you need. I know because that is what it did for me.

Where to Start

You do not have to begin at Genesis 1. Here are four doors into the Word, each a different kind of entry point.

The Gospels
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. The life, ministry, miracles, and love of Jesus. The most important thing to read first.
The Psalms
Prayers, songs, laments, and praise. The full range of human emotion brought before God. Open to any page.
Genesis
Creation, the fall, the flood, Abraham, Joseph. The beginning of everything.
Romans
Paul covers sin, salvation, grace, and faith in one letter. Dense but essential for understanding the Gospel in full.

Before Everything Else

The Gospel

Not a religion. Not a set of rules. A story of God seeking lost people through Jesus Christ. The most important word in the Christian life.

Individual Bible Study Your personal time with God and Scripture. Quiet reflection, deeper focus, and intimacy with the Word. Go at your own pace and let the Holy Spirit speak directly.
