Homilies
& Reflections
Priests who preach with fire, depth, and a love for the word of God. A place to keep coming back to.
For a long time, the sermons that moved me most came from voices outside the Catholic tradition. They were good, and they were real, and I am grateful for them. But it was only later that I found this extraordinary pool of Catholic priests who preach in a way that goes straight through you. Theology, Scripture, culture, the struggles of ordinary life, all of it held together in a single homily that stays with you for days. Whenever I get the chance, I come back to these voices. This is a small collection of the ones I return to most.
Hanna, Vine & The BranchWhat Makes a Homily Different
Rooted in the Sunday readings
A homily is not a motivational talk or a theological lecture. It is a reflection on the Scripture readings of the Mass, offered by a priest to help the faithful receive the word of God more deeply and carry it into the week. The best ones do not just explain the text. They open it up so that something in you shifts. These are priests who do that consistently.

A Note
This list is just a starting point
This collection is in no way exhaustive. The Catholic preaching tradition is vast and rich, spanning centuries and continents. What is here is simply what has moved me personally or what I have found to be genuinely helpful for people in different places in their faith. Follow the voices that speak to where you are right now. And when you are ready, go further. The Church has never lacked for people who can preach.
